Tibetan Pulsing World

Tibetan Pulsing Yoga is a profound and diverse integrative system of yoga and meditation, incorporating yoga postures, group meditation, a unique method of acupressure called “pulsing,” sound, colour, imagery, archetypes, poetry, philosophy, cinema, theatre and other tools for the purpose of meditation in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, as developed in a modern context by Shantam Dheeraj (1940-1998). As indicated in the list above, it takes an exceptionally broad and systematic approach to meditation. For this reason, and also because of its overall organ-based Living Systems structure, it can also be viewed as the brilliant result of applying systems science to the field of meditation, yoga, personal development and the Tibetan Buddhist spiritual tradition.

It is not necessary to be a Buddhist or to know anything about Buddhism in order to practise Tibetan Pulsing Yoga, and in fact most people who do it are not, as it is not a form of religion or worship, but rather, a form of systematic meditation practice which stands in its own right, regardless of the religious beliefs or practices of those who give or receive pulsing sessions. Shantam Dheeraj was not a Buddhist; in the pulsing system he developed and taught his own philosophy and style of meditation.

Tibetan Pulsing World is a website Simon established devoted to supporting the practice and understanding of Tibetan Pulsing worldwide. It also aims to help fellow enthusiasts to connect by incorporating links to resources in various countries.
